VFX Research

November 21st, 2025

VFX is essential to certain films and how those films may be interpreted. It can add a lot of emotion to many scenes and allow an audience to understand some things that may not be easily understood fully. It can also bring a fictional scene to reality, either by using CGI or compositing an imaginary location. CGI can also be a crucial factor in movies, allowing for things that would not be possible to be made real.

Another form of VFX is performance motion capture, which can allow unreal characters to be brought into a moving picture. By recording an actor performing actions and emotions, they can be turned into any fictional character. A prominent example of this is in the movie series: Avatar. Because of these technologies and techniques of VFX, many movies can do certain things that have never been done before.

Many media texts of today use many forms of VFX to portray characters and to amplify how a scene’s emotions are interpreted. VFX has a lot of impact on many media forms, prominently motion picture movies and fictional films. With the rise of new technologies, there could even be new forms of VFX invented, so the future of films could look much more advanced than they already are.
